2019 Municipal General Election

The City Clerk's office is accepting nominating petitions for the office of Mayor and City Council until  5:00 p.m. on December 26th.  To pick up a nominating petition stop by the City Clerk's office at City Hall, 130 S. Galena Street.  

Election Day for the 2019 General Election will be held on March 5th.  Ballots will be mailed out on February 11th and early voting will begin in the Clerk's office on February 19th from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.  Mail ballots may be dropped off in the Clerk's office between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

If you will be out of the country and unable to receive your mail ballot or vote in person on Election Day, please contact Jeannine Stickle at and she will email you an application for a Special Absentee Ballot to enable you to vote electronically.  

2019 Municipal General Election Campaign Finance Filings

  • Campaign report 1 is due February 12, 2019
  • Campaign report 2 is due February 25, 2019
  • Campaign report 3 is due February 28, 2019 
  • Campaign report 4 is due April 4, 2019
  • No person shall accept contributions, including contributions to a candidate from the candidate or from members of the candidate's immediate family, later than 7 days prior to the election or February 26, 2019.
