Commuter Parking

Commuter and Visitor Information:

*Alert:  Carpooling is discouraged and residential area in free until further notice due to COVID-19 

  • Bus Service:
    • Whenever possible, the bus is the best alternative transportation. For up to date information call Rubey Park Bus Station at 970-925-8484.
  • Public Parking:
    • Paid Parking is available throughout the downtown with 700 parking spaces on street and 330 parking spaces in the Rio Grande Parking Garage
    • Downtown Parking (Short-term parking in downtown Aspen is available for up to four hours.) Parking rates vary by season and hour of day, charging more during peak usage.
    • Commuters may buy a day pass ($8) for the residential parking area or park in the Rio Grande Parking garage.
    • You can purchase day passes at the parking department but our preferred method is to use either of the apps:
  • Carpooling:
    • Carpools of two or more adults are eligible for free carpool permits for parking in residential or carpool zones. These passes are available at the Brushcreek kiosk only, located at Brush creek park and ride.
    • Kiosk hours are 6 a.m. to 2pm , Monday through Friday.

  • Note: Parking is free on Sunday’s and (Saturdays in April, May, October and November) and all Federal Holidays. Parking is always free Saturday and Sunday in Residential area.
