Public Power Week is a Time to Celebrate Aspen's Public Utility

public power week web

Did you know it's Public Power Week? The City of Aspen has been delivering power to its residence since 1956.  We are dedicated to impeccable energy delivery and safe service to power your homes, businesses, and all that you do.  We couldn’t do it without our incredible staff.  Martin, Matt, Billy, Trinity, Ron, Billy, Alberto, and Benito keep the lights on and so much more.  They are there for you when the power is working and first on the scene if we have an outage.  We are so proud to work with this crew and have them be maintaining more than 200 transformers, 25 miles of primary line, and 400 street lights.  And we’re doing it all with 100% renewable energy.
