In February and March, the City invited the public to share their values, hopes and concerns related to community access and potential future uses for the Armory. Feedback was collected online at Aspen Community Voice and through small stakeholder conversations. The goal was to confirm that our community agreed with the project's guiding principles, define what "community access" means, and start thinking about the City's approach to remodeling the facility.
This second round of engagement seeks to better understand the community’s thoughts around:
- Did we hear you right? Please verify community access and programming preferences.
- What should it look like? A remodel can take many shapes, let’s explore interior aesthetics and space considerations.
- What will it cost? Once use is determined, let’s clarify our approach to funding the remodel, future operations, and maintenance.
