Phase Three date Pushed to September 4 for Castle Creek Bridge / Hallam Street Project
Power Plant detours to resume following Labor Day weekend
Aspen, CO – The City of Aspen announces that phase three construction and detours for the Castle Creek Bridge / Hallam Street Improvement project will now begin September 4. Following the Labor Day weekend, the full Power Plant detour will go into effect from approximately 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays-Fridays and some Saturdays. This configuration is anticipated to be in effect through October.
“Crews have pushed to complete as much work as possible and this has allowed us to minimize the construction schedule,” said project manager Hailey Guglielmo. “We’re glad that the contractor is able to finish this final stretch in a shorter time frame and hope that this eases impacts for all. However, we still see high traffic volumes in September and October and want to encourage everyone to prepare for heavy delays.”
Significant delays are anticipated for both inbound and outbound traffic. Crews will not be working Labor Day weekend, September 1 through September 3.
