2018 Miscellaneous Code Update
City Council and the Planning Department are working on a series of amendments to the Land Use Code, and your input is needed. On Monday February 26, 2018 at 5 p.m. in City Hall, the City Council will discuss a policy resolution proposing amendments to the following sections of the Land Use Code: Miscellaneous Supplemental Regulations (which includes Calculations and Measures), Parking and Mobility, Growth Management, Nonconformities, Accessory Dwelling Units, Variances, Signs, View Planes, and Zone Districts. The public is encouraged to attend this Policy Resolution meeting, which is the first step in the three-step code amendment process.
Each of these amendments is targeted to respond to errors in the code, changes in development practices, and coordination with other sections of the code. Every few years, the Planning Department proposes a wide range of clean-ups and minor amendments to the code to ensure that the regulations continue to deliver the kind of development the community expects. The last update was done in 2015. If you have questions about the proposed amendments or would like to submit comments, you may contact Phillip Supino, Long-Range Planner, at 970.429.2767 or firstname.lastname@example.org.

Cash-in-lieu is one of a handful of ways that development can meet its affordable housing requirements.
