Highway 133 - Rock Mitigation Begins July 8: On Monday, July 8 the Colorado Department of Transportation will begin rock mitigation work on Colorado Highway 133 between Paonia and McClure Pass, at MP 29.7. Work will be performed by consultant Rock Solid Solutions and is part of CDOT’s geohazards program. Crews will blast and downsize a large slab of rock on the slope. Glenwood Springs - Safety Improvement Project at Hanging Lake Tunnel July 8: On Monday, July 8 the Colorado Department of Transportation and its design-build contractor, Myers & Sons Construction, will begin a safety improvement project to install new vertical lift and fire doors in the I-70 Hanging Lake Tunnel Garage Complex from milepost 125-126, near Glenwood Springs. Normal working hours will be 5 am to 7 pm, Monday through Thursday, and Fridays from 5 am until 12 pm Motorists can also expect single-lane closures overnight Monday through Thursday, between 7 pm and 5 am to preserve the work area.
